DRIMAES and ANAFLASH Join Forces to Advance On-Device AI for Next-Gen Mobility

(Seoul, Korea) October 8, 2024. DRIMAES (drimaes.com), a mobility solution company led by CEO James Jinwoo Im, has signed a joint business agreement with ANAFLASH (anaflash.com), an AI processor company, to develop an on-device, AI-based infotainment platform.

Historic agreement between high-tech leaders

The agreement — the first official collaboration to expand the global mobility ecosystem through the South Korean government's global technology cooperation initiative — was made as part of the 2024 K-Global@Silicon Valley event hosted by South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT. The event supports global expansion of Korean AI and digital innovation companies with promising technologies and services in AI, SaaS/cloud, and ICT convergence technologies.

The aim of the agreement is to develop and commercialize on-device, AI-powered mobility-focused solutions by combining ANAFLASH's edge AI processor technology with DRIMAES's infotainment platform development capabilities.

As part of its collaboration with DRIMAES, ANAFLASH will provide its own AI chipsets and software development kits (SDKs) and will optimize its AI engine. The company will also optimize the performance of AI chipsets, including processors and memory chips, and incorporate them into the platform to increase overall system efficiency.

Through joint development, the companies aim to develop AI-based infotainment functions that will allow users to intuitively and efficiently receive information and enjoy more diverse entertainment functions.

In addition, both companies will take the lead in expanding the future smart mobility ecosystem and building related infrastructure by providing fully embedded AI-based mobility solutions on devices.

ANAFLASH is a U.S.-based company that specializes in processing neural network computations based on neuromorphic, non-volatile edge AI processor technology.The company develops processors with low-power AI acceleration engines and non- volatile memory that significantly reduce data traffic between processors and memory. NASA, the independent U.S. government agency responsible for space-related research, has awarded ANAFLASH the task of developing processors for Mars rovers.

DRIMAES develops embedded software, including infotainment hardware and controller development with AI solutions, and is responsible for service planning and platform development. The company focuses on integrating information and entertainment functions in mobility using AI.
